The region of Beja, with the exploitation of agriculture and the creation of several dams to support irrigation, provide a location of choice for the practice of birdwatching.

During winter the artificial lakes of Beja provides refuge from colder climates, that allows to receive the highest concentrations of wintering species in the Alentejo. On the other hand, these habitats also offer you the opportunity to observe some raptors  birds that frequent this region.

So come with us to discover the natural heritage that this agricultural region provides, offering you the possibility to observe: Flamingo, Spoonbill, White Stork, Black-winged Stilt, Greylag Goose, Northern Pintail, Eurasian Wigeon and Collared Pranticole, among others.
